If you are taking care of an aging parent like I am (Mom is 94) then one of these mattress covers can save you from a lot of frustration. It is smooth and soft, acts like a bed sheet in terms of comfort, but also doubles as a cleanable, waterproof protector. That is important if the someone you are taking care of has incontinence. No bottom sheet to have to constantly change, several times per day. You just simply use a good deodorizing spray cleaner, with a few paper towels, and it is as good as new again. Top sheets and blankets are not usually a problem since gravity makes everything flow down. br /I have read stories of people who are infuriated with a parent that they have to change the sheets for, and immediately afterwards, they need to change them again. Relax, do it the smart way, and get this waterproof full mattress protector, and oh yeah, hook up a stack on washer and dryer in one of your closets next to the room, and easily go from hamper to washer and dryer. If you go one step farther as I have, I even have a neat pile where I toss the clean clothes. Folding, sorting, ironing and all that takes up a ton of time. Mom likes her sweats, top and bottom. Easy to change, and no having to take out a mortgage to buy depends. br /For a while I even used a single bed size of one of these to cover the living room couch; Moms other favorite respit. br /Anyhow this mattress cover seems to be made out of decent material, no problems so far, and I have had it installed for a couple of months already. Highly recommended.

Not very durable - C. Boone - Ohio
Trying to pull this on our mattress, it split up the seams. It pretty much shredded everywhere as we tried to pull it on. Don't purchase unless the mattress is very thin, or it won't fit.

this vinyl matt. protector, is poorly made, and in a few months it will start to deteriate(fall apart).
